The HTC Incredible HD aka the HTC Mecha has been making frequent appearances in our news these days, apart from the several images leaked yesterday unveiling a phone that looks an awful lot like the HTC Mecha, this time the device gets a new name called the Thunderbolt, which I think really makes sense and matches well with its fast speed running Verizon’s 4G network.

Meanwhile according to some trusted sources, the HTC Incredible HD is also listed as the model number ADR6400. Personally I think a good name to a smartphone is quite important, which can well interpret the phone itself as well as enhancing the customers’ impression at the same time, just like the Sony Ericsson X5 Pureness.

This smartphone is nearly perfect in every way and I think many customers are eager for the official announcement. Luckily enough, it looks like HTC has made a potential release date of the HTC Incredible HD since a new 4G smartphone with HTC branding appeared on the teaser website, confirming a January 6th release date. Though the phone is hidden under a black cloak, it’s pretty obviously that the mysterious baby would be the HTC Incredible HD. So several days’ patient waiting for this magical 4G support device is still necessary.
