The new iPhone 5C is an iPhone 5 with a bigger battery, more LTE bands and improved front-facing FaceTime camera. People expected it to be a sub-iPhone 5 device, less good but lower cost. In reality it’s an iPhone 5 in a different shell. With the standard yearly price drop.
I think the ‘C’ in 5C stands for Children. Looks like a kiddie phone. It actually looks really nice, surprisingly especially with their new dotted cases: http://www.apple.com/iphone-5c/videos/#video-product
