Over clocking can be fatal. The most overclocked is up to 1.9 ghz. The phone only lasted for three months before it turned off, the never started back up again…

My moto droid is amazing. But, one of the major cons, the cpu can get up to 108.9.f. I suggest that anyone should get memory booster.lite. the hotter the CPU, the more life is taken from your phone.

@Mike: Yes, the Droid was intended to run at 600MHz, but it is clocked by default to 550MHz. If you root your phone and use an overclocking tool found in the MarketPlace, one can easily overclock their phone to 800MHz+ at the cost of battery life. There have been some accounts that 1.3GHz has been achieved on the Droid, and even some projects trying to run it at 1.5GHz, but these are for extreme users only and is not recommended because you can do some serious damage if the CPU overheats.

The motorola site says that the cpu is running at 550 MHZ not 600 MHZ
