This is excellent news. Looks like there are more to be shown when it finally get released. To me this seems like it would be quite useful for one-handed typing, and certainly save time when doing that; but, I would assume that two-thumb typing would still just be faster by typing everything out quickly, and having auto-correct take care of the small errors.
Windows phone keyboard is a lot like this one, it predicts what word you will spell and increases the sensitivity of the first letter of the predicted word. BlackBerry 10 keyboard is reported to have that same functionality (watch the keynote). it should be more adaptive than you make it out to be….nonetheless time will tell.
IMO, it’s that I find some of them more mature than fantastic, and I’m interested in a renewed UI experience with unique features. I mean iOS and Android are great. I’d just like to see that qnx/web os somewhat inspired OS 10 with tiles etc. come to fruition. I like original products and more choices.
