December 7th, 2009 at 1:06 pm
I need to know if Nextel is going to have any new phones in 1/1/2010
This is the time for my upgrade. Nextel needs some new smart phones like an android phone similar to the HERO because there losing lots of customers due to old technology phones.
December 11th, 2009 at 11:54 pm
I love the htc pro2, one of the best out
December 27th, 2009 at 9:42 pm
If your plan is 69.99 or higher you get upgrades after just a year. If not, a one year upgrade is possible but the price will be very high.

I certainly hope that Instinct Q phone is better than the original Instinct. I think the main problem with Sprint is that they always try to create their own phones when they should just follow what other companies are doing. For example don’t have instinct just get the Iphone. It’s great to set new trends but only when they work.
December 27th, 2009 at 10:55 pm
I would also like to ad that I had the S30 and it was still crap as well as the original instinct.
December 29th, 2009 at 4:35 pm
Lynette if you did some research before you post you would know iphone is exclusive to at&t and not available on sprint network. The hero looks awesome and on par wit the iphone. I will be testing that as an upgrade and I own both the original instinct and the the s30 great phones as long as you update them as with any OS. Sprint is doing much better because of pricing and attractive units.

If you are looking for a great network at the most affordable price go nowhere but to Sprint. Unlike ATT & VZ that charge an arm and a leg for their services, Sprint chooses to spend less on hype and return the savings to its customers. ATT & VZ both charge in excess of $150 for Unlimited usage, whereas Sprint charges its customers $69 for ‘Everything Mobile,” without restrictive calling to other networks. If that was not compelling enough then how about Sprint having twice the 3G coverage of ATT and 14 times the coverage of Tmobile? If this still isn’t cogent enough then lets top it up with 4G coverage from Sprint. Remember Sprint has had new management since 2008 and the company is completely different. Its prior CEO, Forsee, was replaced by Dan Hesse, who IMHO has done a great job in cleaning house and putting Sprint back onto the right glide path. At the end of the Q3 2009, Sprint had $6 billion in cash, a credit line of $1.6 billion dollars and more than enough cash to pay any maturing debt through 2011. However Sprint also had $2.1 billion in Free Cash Flow for the first three quarters of 2009, which could be translated into approximately $3 billion in FCF for 2009. With Wimax 4G Sprint is slated to save substantially by lowering its Operating Expenses by as much as 35% ($5 billion). Sprint currently pays the national telcos to use their Backhaul, however this will be eliminated once they are able to have a ubiquitous 4G Wimax platform. They are already in 33 markets with 30 million POPS and ahead of their 2009 schedule. They have ensconced sufficient funding for their subsidary, Clearwire, to handsomely complete their 2010 schedule, which should give them over 80 markets with over 120 million POPS.

i just upgraded my plan and got the htc hero but it kind of sucks,i’m not able to xfer music to it using a bluetooth connection, and is not that responsive..i still think the iphone kicks ass and sprint should take advange right now that verizon and att are going at it..the iphone will be way better with sprint thatn with those crappy companies,SPRINT GET US THE IPHONE..6 yrs as a sprint cu, and not even the iphone has made me switch providers, goo sprint…
January 11th, 2010 at 7:49 am
i totally agree with androidunhappy….
sprint needs to get us the iphone i hear the exclusivity with att is over in june…or at least get the nexus one or i’m gone in august after my contract is up.
January 28th, 2010 at 11:53 pm
Why the uproar about getting iphones.Sprint needs to stay ahead of the pack with the newest technology phones, not move backwards. Iphones are excellent but there are phones available on Sprint that are as good or better. Sprint has by far the best rates, new technologies as 4G being implemented, and excellent service.I have traveled all over the country including some very obscure areas. Out of all the carriers, if there was signal to be had, I could get it on Sprint.I can see them marketing an Iphone just for the market that buys for peer image. A revised IPhone with new tech hardware would be different.? I have a Palm Pre, and really like it but there are features I would like to see on it that are available on phones overseas and even some of the features are available on US Sprint phones. Just not enough at Sprint to swap phones. When Sprint gets a new phone with some of these features as low res front camera and video conferencing software, and noise canceling mics, etc.I will be all over it.

March 8th, 2010 at 7:44 pm
I have been with Nextel for nearly 10 years. I have always been happy with the service and phones. Lately I have considered jumping ship because I really want an “i-phone” type phone that also has 2-way capability. Is there any chance Nextel will come out with something like that in the near future?
March 27th, 2010 at 3:56 pm
i SOO agree with lynette the instict is a piece of shit. for as much as they sold it for you would think it would be a better phone. thank god im a premier customer and can upgrade in may instead of waiting another year i just dont know which phone to go with the samsung moment or the htc hero.unless the nexus one comes out this summer.. i just would hate getting one of those and a “cooler” one comes out righ after

i love sprint’s plans and the only thing they are an iphone and they are complete.the plans are better than t-mobile and verizon and at&t.if you have it with them.i heards its about 150 a month and verizon charges 29.99 for the data packages and with sprint. you pay 69.99 and get the t.v.,radio,unlimited text, navigation, mobile to mobile unlimited. the only way to use my 450 minutes is to call landlines. i barely call landlines.sprint is the BEST!!

HP Pre3 or I’ll go wherever it ends up. Been a Sprint customer for over 10 yrs, but as far as I’m concerned there is no upgrade on Sprint to replace my Palm Pre. Pre 2 would have cut it, but obviously not happening. WebOS is the best. The others are too awkward.
