Great keyboard… waiting for a phone like this for a long time, I still don’t understand why almost all of them have ditched QWERTY phones. The best thing about sliders like these is you can use the keyboard as a game controller in things like SNES emulators. The Motorola Droid 4 was crap but damn that was a sweet keyboard. My friends would appreciate it to, SOO many typos. Maybe one day I’ll learn how to type. It does have a removable battery, comes with a tool to pop the back case for access to battery and SD slot.

I’m glad I waited till this RAZR MAXX came out. I like the original for it’s thin size but the extra battery power is great. The display is really, really beautiful.

The Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX is the best phone you could possibly get right now! The new battery in this phone makes it untouchable by any of the close competing phones. And even though it is not as thin as the Razr, you can barely tell the difference in your hand, it is still very thin and light. I also find it to fit a little more comfortably in my hand. If you have been going back and forth between new 4G LTE phones, look no further!

Overall a great phone, Best battery life i’ve ever had in smart phone. Phone reception for calls is very good. Great picture and video quality. The only improvement that could be made is the camera but even the camera is pretty decent. People stop being so picky and enjoy this phone!

Motorola DROID 4 release date February 9th, 2012

So who is willing to bet that this phone either doesn’t release on that date, isn’t shipping with ICS, or both? The Motorola DROID 3 has an excellent keyboard. The D4 keyboard looks like it will be the best yet… I do not buy a phone without a physical keyboard….and I am happy with my Droid 3 aside from no LTE, but I will also appreciate twice as much RAM from the Droid 4.

I still won’t pay $199 for a non-global Droid slider. I want 4G and global GSM. I don’t care about dual cores and a bigger screen. I don’t even care about the phone having a pentile screen or not since it’s not noticeable without side by side comparisons anyway. But, it’s got a keyboard, it’s instantly better than any other touch-screen only phone.

The new Verzion Motorola Droid Razr Maxx is now on sale for $299.99. That is awesome. I could almost be tempted into accepting a non-removable battery with that kind of battery life. The fact that they can deliver that battery life while still keeping the phone so thin is impressive.

To be fair, this phone is not exactly a "better version." One of the main, stand-out selling points of the Droid RAZR is the thinness: only 7.1mm. Sure the Maxx has a bigger battery, but it is not by magic: They made the phone thicker. It’s just a trade off. Less slim-factor, more battery. Not better, just different.

Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx for Verizon price $299

Well everyone is crying for higher specs so that price will sadly be the theme for now on. The Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx should at least come with the 1.5 GHz chip that all the others are using now, that would justify the name Maxx and make it feel like its worth spending another $100 for. $299 on contract lol you can out right buy a phone for that money. The current Droid Razr is sticking around at $199, with the 16GB micro SD card taken out.

The hump takes up about one fifth of the phone’s size. A 3300 mAh battery in a profile that’s under 9 mm is better than any other device has to offer, by a good margin. Yes, it’s still thinner than the iPhone.

Verizon: we are giving our RAZR MAXX the $299.99 spot, so we have to shove our original RAZR down to the $199.99 spot. 32GB? You can buy your own 16GB card for like $15 online. Besides with 16GB of internal storage most people don’t even need a microSD card for their phones. With the Maxx coming, and the omission of the SD Card, a $100 price tag would be far more eye-catching. $200 is what I (and everyone I know) still consider the "standard" smartphone… well, Android smartphone price.

If the new Verizon Motorola RAZR Maxx is going to be $299, then I’d expect a price drop on the RAZR, which will get me to buy it. The extra battery life isn’t a selling point for me. I like that the phone has a bigger battery but it’s kind of like a pointless upgrade. If 3000+ battery in a 9mm thin profile is possible then all future phones should have that much battery from now on. The Droid RAZR Maxx will be available on January 26th.

Sure, but Verizon will bill you for your overseas GSM usage on their rate. You can’t pop in a SIM in another country and take advantage over lower cost overseas rates. The technical issues will be solved, I’m certain. What’s needed is an affordable package for both voice and data when using these phones overseas.
