The Samsung Galaxy S Aviator 4G LTE is now on sale for $199.99 with two-year contract. Maybe the kind that’ll actually be useful to people in the midwest that don’t want to sell their first born child to Verizon. Thank God at least one company understands that people in Iowa want LTE coverage too.
Ever cross anyone’s mind that US Cellular is a regional carrier that markets best to rural customers? Most of their customers just care about getting solid coverage, not having a new flashy smartphone.

The U.S. Cellular Samsung Galaxy S II is now on sale for $229.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. Interesting, you lose out on LTE but gain the Exynos processor. Wouldn’t be so bad on a GSM network where you would fall back on HSPA+ instead of EVDO. I’m still happy for USCC users though. Maybe U.S. Cellular means that they will release the Galaxy S III? Exactly what I was thinking. End of next month would be nice because god I need a phone, but that, like many Android on US Cellular dreams, are pipe dreams.

I think the new HTC One V is stunning and I love the One S and One X designs as well. As for performance there is something for everyone. One of my colleagues has a Wildfire and is quite happy with it. The One V is definitely a big step up from that. I will probably go for the X later this year but I could see a lot of people being very happy with the V.

The U.S. Cellular HTC One V cell phone features include a 3.7-inch display, a single-core 1GHz Qualcomm processor, 5MP rear camera with 720p video recording, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support, and a 1,500 mAh battery and Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
Obviously this is a lower-end phone compared to the X and the S, but it still looks and sounds fairly nice.

The new U.S. Cellular Samsung Galaxy S Aviator 4G LTE phone will have a 4.3-inch WVGA AMOLED plus touchscreen, 8 megapixel rear camera and front-facing camera for easy video chatting, single-core 1GHz processor, microSD card slot, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. Am actually happy about this news. US Cellular chose my tiny town as one of it’s test markets. Meaning US Cellular will be the first to bring me LTE. Yay! US Cellular is a great cell phone company. Good to see them increasing data speeds for at least some of their customers. Available April 2012

The new Samsung Galaxy S II Android phone coming to US Celluar in 2012. Glad to see US Celluar getting more top-shelf Android devices. U.S. Cellular is always catching up, it does not have the funds like Verizon and AT&T to bust out with the latest and greatest right away but when they do everything works great. It turns out to be the Sprint Spec’ed version. Here’s to A Wonderful 2012!
