The T-Moible Samsung Behold 2 cell phone is Samsung’s first joint Android Phone with Samsung’s next generation TouchWiz user interface. TouchWiz is fine, but it’s not needed for an Andriod device. I like that they added ‘static’ controls at the bottom of the screen but why in the heck did they include the cube interface which is more inefficient than the stock Andriod’s multi screen scrolling. The Behold 2 has a 3.5 jack. I think that’s downright sexy. Love the button styles. That’s my next phone. Hope the processor is good.

  • It is thrilling to see these custom UIs popping up on these types of platforms. I like what Sammy did with the Behold, looks great design-wise. The cube is actually a cool idea IMO, could see this catching on for some T-Mo folks. Glad to see its got all everything under the hood too.
  • As much as I dislike TouchWiz, at least it’s a customization of Android, instead of a stock installation. Everybody has gotten over the general Android fever and now people are expecting proper use of the platform (which has been done to a degree until now – and I don’t think that TouchWiz will change it – but not to the extent of changing the OS much).
