I just switched from Verizon to ATT and picked up a pair of Mythic phones. A close friend showed me his Eternity and I was blown away. ATT stopped selling the Eternity and said the Mythic is the next most current version.
I’ve ordered a data cable so I can start doing mods. I’m as green as green can be doing this (I won’t blow up the phone doing this will I?). I’m mostly interested in activating the GPS Navigation (read a bunch of threads on this).
In using the speakerphone, people on the other end say they hear an echo. Is this normal? It is rendering the speakerphone useless. Anyone else having this issue? Debating on whether to take it back to the store for another model. Share your thoughts on http://www.Samsung-Mythic.com currently there aren’t many mythic owners there.

Hey, this is a problem with the Voice Recognition Tool. I have a Samsung Solstice from AT&T and had the same problem. When you use the Voice Recognition to make a call or whatnot, something in the software does not get reset afterwards and causes this echo to the other person the are talking to on their end. Reset your phone (tunr off then back on not REAL reset) and as long as you do not use the voice recognition, the problem will no longer exist; that is unless you use voice recognition again, in which case you will need to reset the phone again after using it. Thats what fixed mine. Hopefully a software patch will be released to fix this problem because i like both features, but I’ll just use speed dial for now because speakerphone is a MUST for me. Hope this helps, Cheers!

Yayaya so I got this phone, and it rocks! All my friends are jealous, even my boyfriend with the 3gs, the camera is absoulutly amazing, the flash is a neat tool, but it’s a bit bright, it still works great. The widgets are useful, I don’t really like the notification widget, but hey it’s one of my 3 flaws I have for this phone, I don’t like how the flash is bright, I don’t like the notfication bar, and I don’t like the games, but whatever, there little flaws. And the battery life is pretty much amazing on this phone, you wouldn’t believe it :)
