The new Samsung Wave 723 cell phone looks cool, it is also pretty thin and its small, only 11.8mm. I wanted a robust, uncomplicated, thin camera phone. The Wave 723 running Samsung’s Bada OS,  What reason and or incentive or benefit does samsung have in developing their own OS? Because every big player has his own platform, Nokia (Symbian^3 and Meego), Apple (iOS), Google (Android), LG (S-class), Microsoft (Win Phone 7). Also by selling apps in their own appstore (www.samsungapps.com).

The new Samsung Wave 723 features include a 3.2 inch WQVGA TFT touchscreen display, 5 megapixel camera with flash, TouchWiz UI, Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS, FM radio, Samsung Social Hub, access to Samsung Apps, 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth 3.0, a metallic back cover, and a leather flip cover that protects its front screen, 90MB of onboard memory, and a microSD card slot that supports cards with 16GB capacities. The Wave 723 is developed based on the Bada SDK 1.1.

The Samsung Wave 723 cell phone will be available starting in September 2010 in Germany and will be gradually rolled out to other European markets including Southeast Asia, the Middle East Asia, and Africa.
