The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play GSM version cell phone on FCC, a GSM+UMTS variant that supports UMTS 800/850/1900/2100 for Japan and North America. This version was announced to be a Rogers exclusive in Canada. The Xperia Play uses a 800, 850, 1900, 2100 band radio so it should work just fine on any European carrier or T-Mobile USA’s 3G networks with 3G data. This phone might just be heading to T-Mobile.
