The new Sprint HTC EVO 3D cell phone will have a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon CPU, this sounds cool and all but 3D is a gimmick, these 4.3 inch screen’s are just too big for me to carry around, really interested to see if we can output 720p 3D content. Its nice to see Sprint step up their lineup, but there are other operating systems you know. Like webOS and Windows Phone 7.

Sprint HTC EVO 3D - New Sprint cell phones

The Sprint HTC EVO 3D cell phone features include a 4.3-inch qHD 960 x 450-pixel Autostereoscopic 3D display, 1GB of RAM, 4GB ROM, 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm 8660 Snapdragon CPU, dual rear 5-megapixel cameras with dedicated camera button, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread with HTC Sense UI. The 1730mAh battery is very good! I hope the dual core helps with battery life consumption. Maybe it will be a more efficient processor….that a lot of wishing though.

(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autostereoscopy Autostereoscopy is any method of displaying stereoscopic images (adding perception of 3D depth) without the use of special headgear or glasses on the part of the viewer. Because headgear is not required, it is also called "glasses-free 3D or glasses-less 3D". The technology also includes two broad approaches used in some of them to accommodate motion parallax and wider viewing angles: those that use eye-tracking, and those that display multiple views so that the display does not need to sense where the viewers’ eyes are located.[1] Examples of autostereoscopic displays include parallax barrier, lenticular, volumetric, electro-holographic, and light field displays.)
