T-Mobile G2 release date October 6th 2010 on Best Buy

The T-Mobile G2 is a cute phone, it looks to be a truly worthy update from what I’ve seen. G2 cell phone looks slick and I love that it’s stock android, although I wish it had a 1ghz processor. Will be replacing the G1 with this, most likely. Best Buy pre-orders today, it will launch in stores October 6 and will retail for $199.99 with new two-year activation. I called t-mobile and they said the G2 is 199 after a 50$ mail in rebate. Can’t be preordered yet.

Best Buy’s PR finally confirms what kind of the screen the G2 has: Samsung’s “S-TFT” instead of an AMOLED (same as the first batches of Nexus Ones) or Super AMOLED (Samsung Galaxy S). The specs could be a little better.
