The new T-Mobile Samsung Behold 2 Android phone has a 3D “cube menu” for rotating among common features like web browsing and YouTube access. This seems like a prime example of a UI being changed for the sake of being changed. I can’t imagine how the cube structure will be more efficient than traditional UI’s. Big points for a new idea. Loses points for having a less than effective UI. Of course, this is based on just the screen shot. Maybe it will be much better than what I am envisioning.

The T-Mobile Samsung Behold 2 cell phone is thrilling to see these custom UIs popping up on these types of platforms. I like Samsung Behold 2, looks great design-wise. But I don’t really like the color, Well, let’s assume they have a better color than the one shown, hopefully it’ll have good battery life and a 3.5mm jack.

The T-Mobile Behold 2 has a large 3.2-inch AMOLED screen, a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash, five shooting modes and video capabilities, next generation TouchWiz user interface and customization capabilities and premium features, visual voicemail which allows customers to listen to voicemails in order of preference, MP3 player, up to 16GB of external memory, assisted GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1. Samsung’s intuitive cube menu also provides quick access to six top multimedia features, including music, photos, videos, the Web, YouTube™ and Amazon MP3 for music downloads.
