AT&T LG Xpression – New AT&T cell phones

Last modified on April 30th, 2012, Posted on April 30th, 2012

Lot’s of people don’t want to pay for a smartphone plan, which means they’re probably smarter than most of us. The display is nice and bright and it gets brighter and overall everything is nice and bright. The design is nice and seems to be pretty rock solid. The touch screen is nice and responds really well and is pretty responsive. The ‘QWERTY’ keyboard is nice and spaced and is pretty good. Overall it’s a pretty legit non-smart phone with smart phone options.

Unlocked Galaxy Nexus GSM price $399 for AT&T and T-Mobile

Last modified on April 24th, 2012, Posted on April 24th, 2012

$399 is a great no contract price! I hope this is the beginning of a long range of excellent Nexus devices at amazing prices. I can see myself buying a future Nexus directly from Google in that price range. If Google goes bold with their devices and price structure, backed by a strong Customer Care department, I can see the Big G being very successful with this endeavor.
You can easily put this phone on a prepaid plan like the Straight Talk $45/month (unlimited everything) or even the Walmart/T-Mo $30/month deal (100 minutes voice, 5 GB full speed data, unlimited text) and break even within 4-6 months compared to a contract plan.

If you want to save money, you can try the T-Mobile/Walmart plan. 100min, unlimited text and 5GB 4G data for $30 prepaid. The prepaid coverage isn’t as good as their postpaid but you should look into it. I have this plan with GSM Google Galaxy Nexus and I like it.

AT&T HTC One X pre-order now price only 149.99

Posted on April 24th, 2012

Design wise, I think both phones are excellent both inside and out. Just played with one at the AT&T store in Queens, NY. It’s really snappy, no lag and LTE is fast. Love the design though. Feels great in the hand. Looks better than the Lumia 900 to me. But the sealed in battery and no microSD slot were deal breakers.

RadioShack is selling it for 149.99 if you preorder it!

HTC Titan II reviews for AT&T

Last modified on April 21st, 2012, Posted on April 21st, 2012

The AT&T HTC Titan II is a beautiful phone powered by Windows Phone 7.5 OS. I love the windows interface of the phone. Kind of crummy that they limited the screen resolution for all Windows Phone’s to 480 x 800. This is one good example of where hardware meets the software platform. I don’t care about Mega Pixels, but here in this case this is really good camera with larger resolution.
I compare this to a Nokia 900. I am glad that I pick this one . I love the larger screen size. My sister has an iPhone and I think this phone user interface is much better. It’s a wonderful phone once you get past the battery life.

AT&T HTC One X release date May 6 for $199.99

Posted on April 18th, 2012

This looks to be a really great device,I still wish it had an expandable microSD slot but you can’t have it all I guess. Sprint version is slightly better though due to expandable memory (via SD card) + bigger battery. The AT&T HTC One X version looks better but I like the features of the Sprint version more.  MicroSD slot, bigger battery and kickstand are so worth it.

AT&T: 1800 mAh battery (non removable), polycarbonate unibody shell, NO MicroSD slot or dedicated camera button, 134.8 x 69.9 x 8.9 mm, 129 g

Sprint: 2000 mAh battery (non removable), aluminum half unibody shell, MicroSD slot, dedicated camera button 134.8 x 68.99 x 8.98 mm, 134 g

Very glad that Samsung will announce their new Galaxy before this phone is released. Now I’ll get a chance to somewhat compare the two before I purchase!
