The Verizon Motorola Devour cell phone is now on sale for $149.99 with a 2-yr contract agreement at Verizon Wireless. It officially launched in VZW corporate stores today, this phone has been out in walmart price $100 for almost two months. The Devour is bigger than the Droid and has half the screen. This handset is not meant to be a "superphone," and they shouldn’t pull it from the shelves… It fills the "middle of the road" place in VZW’s line up of Android devices. The eris free, the devour $100, and the droid $180 and they all sell equally as well.

The Verizon Motorola Devour cell phone is just a budget version of the Droid, the Devour looks nice, I am rather impressed that the case is actually aluminum and not silver-colored plastic. But the screen is too small, no front facing camera, If you like your screens tiny, then fine. I’m not saying that all phones should have real screens. It’s nice to have choice in mobile phones but there may be too many Android phones and operating system versions sharing shelf space. Consumers might feel confused or mislead.
The Verizon Motorola Devour will be available by this month for $99.

The Verizon Motorola Devour cell phone looks cool, I actually like the style of the phone, but hate the specs, Android 1.6, really? We’re in 2010, not 09. Why are phones still geting released with 1.6? Anyways, the advantage is price, the android platform at a low price is a good way to get the average consumer people to get introduced to Android.

The Verizon Motorola DEVOUR cell phone has an odd placement of the trackpad, I suspect it’s there so it’s more accessible to your right thumb when the keyboard is open and you’re holding the device with two hands. looks like such a better keyboard than the Droid. The dedicated number buttons are great.
The DEVOUR is not plastic. It’s aluminum, it’s roughly the same size as the droid, slightly thicker and about the same weight. If you have ever held a droid you would know that it feels very solid and well built. I would expect this to feel the same.
