Verizon Samsung Galaxy 2 launch in May, and Motorola Droid X2, Bionic cell phone

Posted on March 30th, 2011

Big things coming from Verizon in May! The Samsung Galaxy 2 cell phone (Fascinate 2), Motorola Droid X 2, Bionic are nice, Droid X2 is a great Motorola option. Galaxy S 2 might be the best option going forward, it’s dual core with a gig of ram. I suspect Verizon will have several powerful non-Android offerings by Q3, including the iPhone 5, Pre 3 and maybe some other Win7 phones.

Samsung Galaxy 2 cell phone with dual-core chip

Posted on November 14th, 2010

The new Samsung Galaxy 2 cell phone (maybe Google Nexus S )  will have a dual-core chip,  Well Samsung’s chipset using the Cortex A9, and their followup to the Hummingbird (which used the A8) is the Orion.  Hoping that the Nexus S will use the same Orion processor, this will be like a Nexus One/HTC Desire scenario. Google phone would be a great Christmas present to myself.  The  Galaxy 2 is expected to run Android 2.3.

Samsung Galaxy 2 – New Samsung cell phones

Posted on January 28th, 2010

The Samsung Galaxy 2 is an Android phone with greater 32 GB Internal memory. This is amazing. I’m guessing that it also has a slot for microSDHC. New Samsung cell phones – Samsung Galaxy 2 has 3.7 inch AMOLED touchscreen, 5 MP camera, 1 GHz Snapdragon, 32 GB internal memory, WiFi, GPS, 3.5 mm jack, Android 2.1 OS. Expected release date is Q2 2010. The Samsung will make the official announcement at MWC in Barcelona 2010. This definitely looks better than the original Galaxy with its minimalist design. I’m just hoping that the screen resolution matches that of that Nexus One at 800×480.
