HTC should market aggressively windows phones as they are leapfrogged by Samsung and Motorola with their Galaxy and Droid series. The new AT&T HTC Titan "II" windows phone will have a 4.7-inch display and supports 4G LTE-capable. Expected CES in January, 2012
This phone is a sleek, fun, workhorse.I am an avid Twitter and Facebook user, and windows phone provides a tight integration with both services. The AT&T HTC Titan is one giant slab of awesomeness. I am really impressed with the feel of the phone, it really is very sturdy. The screen is massive and really looks amazing especially while watching a movie. The user interface is awesome – responsive, adaptive, and incredibly easy to navigate.
The 4.7 inch screen makes the UI look absolutely gorgeous despite the standard windows phone resolution. You would think that a 4.7" inch screen would be far too big, but the Titan is still thin, fitting comfortably in the front pocket of my (sometimes too tight) jeans.
This phone is built well, beautiful screen, light, thin and the Windows OS is a revelation after heavily using iOS and Android devices. I’m not a novice. The phone itself has a great camera and the sound for either playing movies or voice-calls is loud and clear. Go to your AT&T store and look at the Windows Phones. Absolutely exceeded my expectations in every way.
The new AT&T HTC Titan Windows phone is now on sale for $199.99 on contract, $549.99 without contract. AT&T is apparently having a sale on the Saturday after Thanksgiving where all WP7 phones will be a penny with a two year contract (online only). The Titan is supposed to be part of this sale as well. Definately worth waiting a week to save $200.
So I went into an AT&T store today to try and compare the Titan to the Focus S, it does require a bit of contortion to use one-handed so trying before buying is important, but it feels so solid (and is actually quite thin) that the size isn’t as bad as you might think. I didn’t quite "get" WP7 until I used it but it is a joy to use in practice.
The new AT&T HTC Titan cell phone is beautiful, tin, light and fast. The Titan was massive but a lot thinner than I expected. The Samsung Focus S is a more attractive phone. However something about this large Titan really piques my interest. I think it will bring with it, a new "feel" for windows phone mango. WP7 is a much smoother and nicer experience than an Android.
In terms of build quality HTC Titan looks way better and preferrable who want the large sized screen. Windows phone 7 finally looks like a pretty competitive piece of software. Just wish we had the compelling hardware to match…That said, it’s getting to be an exciting time to be a follower of this industry.
The new AT&T HTC Titan cell phone with 4.7-inch screen. A little too big for me, but this looks like a great phone. This would be awesome! I was looking to go with the Focus S even though I would prefer a bigger screen size. After seeing the reviews of the Titan and the huge improvements on the camera I think i’m pretty sold. WP7 handsets are overpriced and underwhelming. Something has to happen. Since they can’t launch handsets with good specs at least they can lower the price.
