New Cell Phones

The Verizon Palm Pre 2 cell phone will be here soon, This is a great phone, I liked the Pre 2 but it really just wasn’t good enough, please a 4 inch WebOS phone would be awesome. I hope in the next few days HP will show us some new hardware for WebOS phones and tablets, hopefully also inspiring developers.

The Verizon Palm Pre 2 cell phone has a 3.1 inches 320×480 HVGA display, Slide-out physical QWERTY keyboard, 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a 1 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, WebOS 2.0. A girl I know has that phone, she loves it.

The Palm Pre 2 unlocked cell phone is coming later this month, It supports Verizon Wireless Dual-band CDMA2000 3G: EvDO Rev A, and 850MHz and 1900MHz. I really like webOS, but it needs to come out on some better hardware.  The GSM unlocked Palm Pre 2 on sale for $450. The price is very reasonable. From what I read elsewhere it appears to be a dual band 3G 850/1900 phone for use with AT&T. You could get a pre-pay SIM, then no, you wouldn’t need a contract, and you’d be free to hop around networks and phones.

Recently the HP has announced the availability of Palm Pre 2 smartphone in UK on November 15th with the price tag of ￡399 unlocked. However, none of the major wireless carriers in UK has the plan to launch this device.

The Palm Pre 2 is a platform smartphone with a streamlined design that slides out for a physical QWERTY keyboard, besides, it packs a 3.1-inch capacitive touchscreen with 320×480 resolution. Running the new HP webOS 2.0 operating system, this device enables his users to do what they want to much faster, namely you can quickly tap a messaging synchronizing with playing a game, just as the officials have said that in webOS 2.0, managing multiple tasks is ridiculously easy! Meanwhile, a 5MP camera with LED flash as well as Bluetooth, 16GB of non-expandable Flash memory and WiFi is also equipped in the phone.

Palm Pre 2 is HP’s new WebOS 2.0 smartphone that will storm the US market on November 8. This information is reliable because HP has released officially through its HP for Students Facebook page. However, it doesn’t mention whether it is the Verizon Wireless Pre Plus 2 or the unlocked GSM Pre 2. Since we’re inching closer to November 8 (actually 5 days later), we will finally know which one it is.

The Palm Pre 2 is the new entry level phone, Palm has a great OS hampered by mediocre hardware, webOS 2 might be killer but the hardware is pathetic.
