This is mind blowing! Sprint’s press release announcing the phone and acknowledging that they already had a 6.5 Rom and would release it once they finished their testing.

The HTC Touch Pro2 windows mobile 6.5 is now available. As of now this update is strictly for GSM phones (T-Mobile, AT&T). It does not work on CDMA phones (Sprint, Verizon). good. maybe this is a sign that Verizon may get their’s back in stock now (assuming of course they were waiting on the official 6.5 update). i’ve seriously been waiting for weeks for this thing to be available agin but they are taking thier sweet time.

The AT&T Tilt 2 is HTC Touch Pro2 cell phone, AT&T will give us something more to choose from, but this is a good start. The AT&T Tilt 2 (HTC Touch Pro2) is almost here , maybe on October 6th or October 18th. I seriously could not wait any longer, been watching/waiting for this device for months. Ordered from Sprint last night, with various discounts, rebates, invoice credits, referral gift cards etc..

The Verizon HTC Touch Pro2 is now on sale for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new 2 year customer agreement. I know the Verizon HTC Touch Pro2 is 199.99 but is it the same as the Sprint TP2. Last time VZW crippled the thing less ram and less processor. Verizon has confirmed to us that the Touch Pro2 will be $489.99 off contract.
Sprint – Simply Everything ($99) + Insurance ($7) = $106/mo
Verizon – 900 minutes w/ unlimited data & m2m ($99.99) + 500 text/pix/flix w/ unlimited m2m ($10) + Insurance ($7.99) = $117.98/mo

The new Verizon Touch Pro2 is good, but with slightly outdated CPU. That’s why VZ put it on sale with WinMo 6.1 before WinMo 6.5 launch in October. Verizon Touch Pro2 will be here soon on September 11th for $299.99 on a two-year deal before a $100 mail-in rebate. Verizon finally has a good phone in their inventory. I’m pretty excited about the price, not because I’m going to go buy the phone from Verizon but because this will pretty much force both T-mobile and Sprint to cut their prices.
The Verizon Touch Pro2 has turned over a new leaf. Unlocking GPS, getting good phones earlier, not crippling them. The Verizon HTC Touch Pro2 features include a 3.2MP camera, 3.6-inch touch-sensitive display, Slide-out QWERTY keyboard, WiFi, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, HTC Touch FLO 3D and running Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro OS.
