Verizon has announced the availability of HP Pre 2 in both shops and online starting from February 17th for $150 with a year contract, which is $50 higher than the price HP offered for pre-orders. Personally I think for such a mid-range device, $100 will be more reasonable that can better help the promotion of Web OS hardware.

Just as previously reported, the HP Pre 2 sports a 3.1-inch screen, under which slides out a physical QWERTY keyboard. You can also expect a 5MP camera with LED flash, WiFi connectivity and Bluetooth by forking out $150. Well, on the whole the device is cute and nice, but I don’t like the way the keyboard presents, since there’s less space on the keyboard and less room between the keys, which are much closer with each other. It’s not a good thing for big hands.

When considering the Pre 3 that expected to ship out this summer, maybe there will more customers prefer several months await for the better CPU, better resolution display as well as a better autofocus camera with front facing cam.
