Why does the Nexus Prime cost $299 on contract? Verizon has a track record of high prices for their LTE handsets. The Thunderbolt, Charge, Bionic and now the RAZR have all launched at $299. In short, I expect that when the other carriers announce their pricing, we will see the Prime at $199.
