This phone isn’t aimed at the Lumia 920s and HTC Ones of the world. The new Verizon Nokia Lumia 720 looks absolutely gorgeous and it’s the perfect size. I was going to recommend the 820 for my father, who actually prefers 480×800 screen to have bigger text size. But as he only needs Office, email, offline navigation and a browser – this is the clear winner. Also a much cheaper phone than the 820.
People look at a lot lot more than specs when buying a smartphone. Brand, UI and UX, smoothness, touch screen responsiveness, stability of the OS, call quality, battery life, phone colours availability, camera, price, carrier availability etc…
Verizon Nokia Lumia 720 features include a 4.3-inch display, 6.7-megapixel rear camera module with f/1.9 lens (developed with Carl Zeiss labs) for lowlight performance, a 1.3-megapixel front facer with wide-angle lens, a 1GHz dual-core processor, 512 MB of RAM, 8GB of onboard memory, microSD (up to 64GB) and Windows Phone 8 OS. It will be available in five colors and will retail for 249 euros ($328 USD) when it launches in Hong Kong, Vietnam and Singapore in the first quarter of this year.
